Softball Home Opener Versus St. Francis Cancelled

JAMAICA, N.Y. - The St. John's University softball team's home opener, scheduled for Wednesday, March 17, has been cancelled due to the snowstorm that hit the New York metropolitan area on Tuesday. There will be no make-up date for this contest.

The Red Storm, who are 9-13 overall, will return to action on Wednesday, March 24 when they travel to Hackensack, NJ to take on Fairleigh Dickinson University. First pitch of the doubleheader is scheduled for 3 p.m.

Due to the cancellation, the 2004 home opener at Red Storm Field on the Queens campus of St. John's is scheduled for Saturday, March 27 against Fairfield at 1 p.m.
