"We never talked about Duke, just like we never talk about an upcoming opponent. We focus on the one game at hand and then we move on."

"We needed to defend all the way to the end. Your best players need to play well and you have to compete on every play. We need to take advantage of our opportunities and limit easy baskets."

"St. John's is a good team; they do a good job and have veteran players who hit their shots. They're bigger than us and have a lot of athletic players. Those guys are veterans and they did what they were supposed to do to win. In order for us to compete in a game like this, we have to make shots. If you don't make shots, you don't win."
On Defensive Game Plan:
"I thought we had a good game plan defensively. We had one day to prepare. St. John's is a tough team; I wish I could have mixed it up more. It wasn't defense that was the problem. I thought we had a decent package but they were just a little bigger and they got second chance shots early which really hurt us."
