- St. John's recorded its 10th-straight home-opening victory with the win against Wagner.
- The Red Storm shot 80.6 percent (29-of-36) from the free throw line, the best mark from the charity stripe since an 83.3 percent (10-of-12) effort against Baylor on Nov. 18, 2012.
- St. John's finished 0-for-10 from 3-point range, the first time the squad has been held without a trey since going 0-for-4 in a 71-62 win against DePaul on Jan. 19, 2013.
- The Red Storm grabbed 45 rebounds, its highest total since finishing with 48 boards against Saint Francis (N.Y.) on Dec. 15, 2012. St. John's was +11 on the glass (45-34).

Individual Notes
- D'Angelo Harrison scored a game-high 25 points to notch his second 20-point performance of the season and the 26th of his career. Harrison, who is averaging 26.0 points per game, finished 11-of-11 from the charity stripe and has made 19-of-19 free throws this season.
- JaKarr Sampson recorded the 31st double-figure game of his career with a 13-point effort. Sampson added seven rebounds and is averaging a team-high 7.0 boards per game this season.
- Sir'Dominic Pointer added 10 points on a 5-of-7 performance from the floor to record the 17th double-figure scoring game of his career.
- Orlando Sanchez scored a career-high eight points and added a career-best eight rebounds.
