Team Notes
- After scoring 43 points in the first half on 44.1 percent (15-of-34) shooting, St. John's scored 51 points in the second half on 51.6 percent (16-of-31) shooting. The Red Storm is scoring 40.0 points on 41.5 percent (27-of-65) shooting in the first half this season, while averaging 45.5 points on 48.3 percent (28-of-58) shooting in the second half.
- The Red Storm already has three double-doubles through two games this season. St. John's had five double-doubles in 33 games a season ago.
Individual Notes
- D'Angelo Harrison finished with 31 points and a career-high 17 rebounds to record his fourth-career double-double. The 31-point effort marked the second 30-point game for Harrison, who scored a career-high 36 points at Villanova on Jan. 2, 2013. The 17 rebounds also marked the most by a Red Storm player since JaKarr Sampson pulled down 17 boards against NJIT on Dec. 1, 2012. Harrison also made five 3-pointers, the first of which marked his 200th-career trey.
- Rysheed Jordan scored 19 points and grabbed a career-high eight rebounds to go with six assists. Jordan had a previous career-high of six rebounds, a total he had reached on four occasions.
- Phil Greene IV finished with 18 points and now has 838 points in his career.
- Jamal Branch dished out six assists with just one turnover. The senior has nine assists and just two turnovers through two games.
- Christian Jones contributed eight points and four rebounds. Jones is averaging 6.0 points and 3.0 rebounds in 11.0 minutes this season.
