- Saturday's 69-56 home victory over Villanova saw No. 24 St. John's extend its program-best BIG EAST Conference win streak to 11 games.
- The Red Storm outrebounded Villanova, 54-31, marking St. John's largest positive rebounding margin and second-highest rebound total of the season. The Red Storm finished with 20 offensive rebounds, also its second-highest total of the season.
- St. John's hit 5-of-9 of its 3-point attempts for a 55.6 percent conversion rate, its second highest of the season.
- St. John's finished with a 22-8 edge in second chance points and had 12 assists on 24 made field goals.
Individual Notes
- Amber Thompson set a career high with 17 rebounds against Villanova, including seven on the offensive glass. Thompson had tied her previous career high of 16 rebounds twice this season. St. John's is now 12-2 this season when Thompson records 9+ rebounds.
- Aliyyah Handford finished with 25 points on 10-of-18 shooting to post her 20th double figure scoring performance and seventh 20-plus scoring performance of the season. St. John's is 6-0 when Handford scores 25+ points and 9-1 when she attempts 15+ field goals this season.
- Briana Brown was a perfect 2-for-2 from behind the 3-point arc against Villanova. Brown has connected on at least one 3-pointer in 18 of 24 games this season, including two in nine games. St. John's is 15-3 in games where Brown hits a 3-pointer this season.
