Stagmiller Repeats As BIG EAST Goalkeeper Of The Week

QUEENS, N.Y. - After helping St. John's extend its unbeaten streak to four games with a 2-0-0 week, Jordan Stagmiller earned his second-straight BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week honor and Luis Esteves garnered a spot on the Weekly Honor Roll.

Stagmiller posted a pair of shutouts, the second- and third-consecutive clean sheets for the keeper. The redshirt senior recorded three saves in a 3-0 victory against Central Connecticut (Sept. 29) and stopped two shots in a 1-0 road win against Seton Hall (Oct. 3).

Esteves, meanwhile, scored a pair of goals for the Red Storm. Esteves tallied an insurance goal against the Blue Devils before netting his first-career game-winning goal in the victory against the Pirates.

St. John's has gone 3-1-2 with four shutouts and a 0.47 goals against average in its past six contests. The Red Storm has three shutouts and a 0.22 goals against as part of its four-game (2-0-2) unbeaten streak.

St. John's next travels to Omaha on Oct. 10 for an 8 p.m. game against No. 1 Creighton (BEDN).
