GOODYEAR, Ariz. -- Freshman Troy Evans is tied for ninth heading into the final round of the Loyola Intercollegiate after carding a 70 (-2) on Monday at the Palms Course in Goodyear, Ariz.
The Red Storm remains in 14th place following a 301 (+13) second round, ahead of Loyola Maryland, Drake and Manhattan with a total score of 590 (+14).
Evans is still in contention for a medal, trailing overall leader Tanner Napier by five strokes with a two-round score of 139 (-5).
Once again, freshmen Seung Yub Baek and Michael Conforti registered identical scores of 75 (+3) to finish 36 holes tied for 56th at 148 (+4).
There was a shift in the team standings as Arkansas State jumped four spots to No. 1 with an overall score of 560 (-16). James Madison is in second place with a score of 562 (-14), while Indiana dropped to third at 12-strokes under par.
St. John's closes out the tournament tomorrow morning as tee time is set for 9:40 a.m. (ET).
