Connors Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

QUEENS, N.Y. - After helping the Red Storm remain unbeaten on the young season with a pair of convincing victories against Yale and Fairfield, Shea Connors has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.
Connors, a native of New Haven, Conn., registered a pair of standout performances to earn a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll. She began the weekend by picking up an assist on each of the Red Storm's two goals on Friday night against the Bulldogs before tallying a goal and an assist in the Johnnies' 5-1 rout of Fairfield on Sunday night at home.
The goal marked the first for Connors since her BIG EAST All-Rookie season of 2014 when she scored three times, all of which were game winners, to finish second on the squad. Last year, Connors ranked second on the team with five assists.
The Red Storm returns to action on Friday evening, traveling to the West Coast for the Nike Portland Invitational. The Johnnies will kick off the tournament with a 7:30 p.m. ET tilt against the Huskies of Washington.
