Zuby Ejiofor Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for Second Straight Week

St. John’s junior forward scored 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in a win over Bryant on Wednesday at Carnesecca Arena
QUEENS, N.Y. – For the second consecutive week, junior Zuby Ejiofor was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, as announced by the conference on Monday. It is Ejiofor's third weekly honor roll selection of the season, previously earning the accolade on Nov. 25 and Dec. 9.
The 6-foot-9 forward registered his fourth double-double of the year with a 22-point, 10-rebound effort in the Johnnies' 99-77 victory on Wednesday. Ejiofor pulled down seven of his 10 boards on the offensive glass. The Red Storm's big man also knocked down seven of his 10 shots from the field while draining eight free throws in the win over the Bulldogs.
Ejiofor has been a dominant force since the team's trip to the Bahamas, averaging 18.3 points per game while shooting 63.3 percent (38-60 FG) from the floor over the last six games. The Garland, Texas native has also logged 9.7 rebounds during the stretch, including 5.2 offensive boards per game.
St. John's will wrap up its four-game homestand and open conference play on Tuesday when DePaul comes to Queens. Tip-off from Carnesecca Arena is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Peacock.
