Red Storm Lacrosse Legend Kieran McArdle Selected to U.S. Lacrosse Indoor Championship Roster

The three-time All-American is one of 23 players representing the United States in the World Indoor Lacrosse Championship
    SPARKS, Md. – Kieran McArdle, the most decorated player in program history, was named to the Team USA Indoor Championship roster by U.S. Men's Senior Team Head Coach Regy Thorpe. McArdle becomes one of 23 players to represent the United States at the 2019 FIL World Indoor Lacrosse Championship in Langley, British Columbia from Sept. 19-28, 2019.

    McArdle, a three-time United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) All-American and two-time BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Year, remains the Red Storm's all-time leader in career points, goals and assists. He also became the first player in St. John's history to amass 200 points, 100 assists and 100 goals in a career.

    McArdle has had a stellar career in Major League Lacrosse as a member of the Florida Launch and with the Toronto Rock of the National Lacrosse League. After being drafted fifth overall in the 2014 MLL Draft, McArdle scored 34 goals and dished 15 assists for 49 points, paving his way to being named the 2014 MLL Rookie of the Year. McArdle has also been named to the MLL All-Star game in each of the past three seasons and has recorded 233 goals and 154 assists in his 109-game career.
    The United States has medaled at each of the previous four FIL World Indoor Lacrosse Championships, earning bronze in 2003, 2007, 2011 and 2015.
     The U.S. team opens its schedule on Sept. 19 against Canada and has pool play games against Israel on Sept. 20 and the Iroquois Nationals on Sept. 21.
