The Johnnies will be back in action on Wednesday against Stony Brook
COLLEGE PARK, M.D. – The St. John's women's tennis team fell on Sunday afternoon at No. 69 Maryland, 4-0.
The Johnnies (5-3, 1-0 BIG EAST) dropped the team doubles point and were unable to recover in solo play, suffering defeat for the third time this season.
Maryland won on the No. 1 and 2 doubles court to claim the team point. In singles action, the nationally-ranked Terrapins took matches on the No. 2, 1 and 4 courts to finish off the sweep.
The Red Storm will return to action on Wednesday to host Stony Brook. First serve from the USTA National Tennis Center is set for 12:15 p.m.
