Women’s Soccer Posts Undefeated Spring Season

Red Storm went 6-0 during the spring campaign
QUEENS, N.Y. – The St. John's women's soccer team lead by Head Coach Ian Stone strung together an undefeated 6-0 record during its spring season.
The Red Storm dominated throughout its six games outscoring its opponents 16-2 during the unbeaten campaign. Rising senior Molly McGlame led the Johnnies with five goals over the six matches.
In the spring campaign opener on March against Fairfield at Cox Family Field at Belson Stadium recording a 3-1 victory behind goals from Mia Agresti, Nora Basile and Nia Derodel.
The following weekend on March 29, the Johnnies welcomed Army tallying a 2-1 victory over the Black Knights in Queens. Janelle Sylvestre and McGlame registered the goals in the winning effort.
On April 4, St. John's logged its first of four shutouts to close to the spring season defeating Iona, 2-0. Daniela Monzon and Snaerfidur Eva Eiriksdottir provided the tallies against the Gaels.
On April 6, the women's soccer program welcomed back former players for an alumni game, where the current roster won in a 5-0 rout fueled by a brace from McGlame.
In a battle with Marist on April 12, the Johnnies came out on top decisively with a 3-0 victory as McGlame added a pair of goals along with a tally from Basile.
In the final game, Samantha Goldberg delivered the game-winner in a 1-0 triumph over Adelphi on April 25.
The St. John's women's soccer team will be back in action in August for its 2025 campaign.
