Red Storm and Wolverines to meet at 4 p.m. on FS1
QUEENS, N.Y. – With a nine-day break between BIG EAST contests, the St. John's men's basketball team has scheduled its one remaining non-conference outing, as the Red Storm will welcome Utah Valley University to Carnesecca Arena on Saturday at 4 p.m.
The game will air live on FS1. A radio destination for the game has not yet been determined.
St. John's (8-7, 3-6 BIG EAST) will meet Utah Valley, which is in its 18th year of Division I status, for the first time in the history of the two programs. The Wolverines are coached by Mark Madsen, a former All-American at Stanford who won a pair of NBA titles with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2001 and 2002.
The Wolverines come to New York with an overall record of 5-5 and an unblemished 3-0 mark in WAC play after sweeping a pair of games against Cal Baptist and topping Seattle on the road. St. John's and UVU have a common opponent this season in BYU, as the Wolverines dropped an 82-60 decision in Provo on Nov. 28.
