Carnesecca Arena to Host ESPN’s “SportsCenter on the Road at St. John’s” on Thursday

ESPN hosts Seth Greenberg and Kevin Negandhi will visit Carnesecca Arena for a St. John’s men’s basketball practice with live segments to be aired on SportsCenter beginning at 6 p.m.
QUEENS, N.Y. – The St. John's men's basketball program will be featured on ESPN this Thursday beginning at 6 p.m. in a "SportsCenter on the Road at St. John's" special hosted by Seth Greenberg and Kevin Negandhi.
ESPN will air live look ins for the Red Storm's practice inside Carnesecca Arena, as well as conduct a series of interviews with Hall of Fame coach Rick Pitino and a member of the St. John's basketball team during SportsCenter. "SportsCenter on the Road at St. John's" will also feature a sitdown interview with St. John's legendary coach and Hall of Famer Lou Carnesecca.
Fans can watch "SportsCenter on the Road at St. John's" on ESPN from 6 to 7 p.m. ESPN2 will air the final half hour from 7 to 7:30 p.m. SportsCenter is also available via ESPN+ and the ESPN mobile app.
St. John's is coming off a double-overtime victory over Rutgers in a thrilling charity exhibition game on Saturday at Carnesecca Arena. St. John's graduate student Nahiem Alleyne scored a game-high 19 points and drained four 3-pointers, including a buzzer-beater to force double-overtime. Glenn Taylor Jr. scored seven of the team's first nine points in the second overtime to help the Johnnies pull away. All proceeds from the charity exhibition benefitted the Dick Vitale Pediatric Cancer Research Fund at the V Foundation.
The Red Storm will play its final exhibition of the preseason on Sunday when it hosts Pace at 3:30 p.m. inside Carnesecca Arena. St. John's season opener is scheduled for Nov. 7 as the Johnnies welcome Stony Brook to Carnesecca Arena.
