Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer will join Emmy winning sportscaster Bruce Beck to talk St. John’s Basketball and the Red Storm’s BIG EAST Regular Season title

NEW YORK – St. John's men's basketball Head Coach Rick Pitino will join Emmy Award winning sportscaster Bruce Beck in studio on Sunday for NBC 4 New York's "Sports Final" following the evening news at midnight.

The Red Storm claimed the outright BIG EAST Regular Season Championship on Saturday afternoon for the first time in 40 years with a 71-61 victory over Seton Hall at Madison Square Garden. The Hall of Famer has guided the Johnnies to a 26-4 record and a 17-2 mark in BIG EAST play. The Johnnies won 10-straight BIG EAST games, tallied three ranked wins in a 12-day span and have reached their highest AP poll ranking since 1991.

Pitino and the Johnnies will have the week off before returning to the hardwood for their regular season finale at No. 21/22 Marquette on Saturday at 12 p.m. ET.
