In order to determine seat selection, the St. John’s Athletic Department has created a priority points system. Season ticket holders can accumulate points by donating to St. John’s Athletics or the University, consecutive years giving to St. John’s, giving to Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) for St. John’s student-athletes and how many consecutive years you have been a season ticket holder at St. John’s. At the conclusion of each fiscal year (May 31) total points will be calculated and season ticket holders will be ranked according to their totals. Once the ranking is finalized, account holders will be contacted to determine their seat location for the upcoming season. In order to maintain your seats each year or to upgrade your seats, you may need to maintain or increase your level of giving.
FAQ's
When are Priority Points calculated?
Priority Points are calculated throughout the fiscal year (June 1 through May 31). Final point totals rankings will be calculated at the conclusion of that fiscal year.
Where exactly can I donate to receive my points?
Unrestricted gifts to the St. John's athletics program provide us with the most flexibility to use your gift where it's needed most. You may also restrict your gift to any one of our 17 men's and women's Division I programs. Additionally, your gift can be designated to a number of other athletics related areas.
What happens to my points at the end of the year?
Point totals will be accrued and remain throughout the term of the Priority Point System.
How many regular season ticket packages can the account holder of record purchase?
The maximum number of regular season tickets that can be purchased based on the Priority Point System by one account holder is six seats.
What if I want to transfer points between accounts?
Priority Points and season tickets cannot be transferred from one person to another. However, in the event of a death of a season ticket holder, the surviving spouse (or other immediate family member) automatically retains the points and season tickets in the name of the account holder.
Why are we reseating?
Prior to the 2025-26 season, Carnesecca Arena will undergo enhancements in the lower bowl that change the layout and quantity of seats available. In addition, we also want to ensure that all season ticket holders are able to obtain seats that are commensurate with their overall level of investment and support towards St. John’s Basketball.
Where can I see my points and where I rank?
You can look at your priority point total by going to your MY JOHNNIES account. Navigate to the Priority Point tab to view your point ranking, which shows your total priority point accumulation since the program was created. You can also look at the chart below to see where your point totals align with other season ticket holders.
What do my donations impact?
Your donations impact the lives of all St. John’s student-athletes and are instrumental in the overall collegiate athletics experience. Because of your support, our student-athletes are able to compete for championships whilst earning a degree that will change their lives. You are impacting local communities and the future leaders of tomorrow by supporting St. John’s Athletics
What donations are deductible?
Donations made directly to St. John’s University or Athletic Department are tax deductible contributions. At this time, donations made in support of NIL are not tax deductible.
What happens if I miss my appointment time?
If you miss your appointment time, you will still be able to login in anytime after that to select your seats as you are not limited to that specific time. Please note, that while you still are able to select seats, you are sacrificing you priority place as other time slots will open up.
Can I add tickets during the selection process?
Yes! Additional tickets can be added during the selection process so long as the additional required seat donation is paid for at checkout and the ticket quantity does not exceed six tickets.
When will I need to pay for my tickets?
Payment is required upon selection of seats. Payment plan options will be available.
What do I need to do to ensure my same seats are similar to what I have now?
Since this is a full reseat, all locations will be subject to availability, and we cannot guarantee any location. Season ticket holders should consider increasing their annual giving or make a gift to increase their priority point ranking and improve their time slot to select seats. The last day to make a gift to increase your priority point status is June 16, 2025.
How will the reseat work to pick my seats?
All current season ticket holders will be ranked based on their Priority Point status as of June 16 when points freeze. Once the final point calculation is done, all season ticket holders will be notified of their time slot in which they can select seats for the upcoming season, with the person ranked #1 selecting first and so on. The reseating process will take place online using our virtual venue tool, where you are able to view and select the seats you want for the upcoming season. We aim to start this process after July 1.
