2024-25: Won two singles matches in three contests… Went 1-0 in the BIG EAST conference… Went 17-0 in doubles action paired with Ryota Kaneda... Earned BIG EAST All-Academic Team honors
2023-24: Named BIG EAST Doubles Team of the Week on April 1 and April 15… Finished with a 13-3 combined record… Went 11-3 in doubles play with all 11 wins coming with Ryota Kaneda as his partner… The duo played all 14 matches on the No. 3 court… Won eight matches in a row leading up to the BIG EAST Tournament… Went 2-0 in singles action, winning both matches… Helped the Red Storm pick up a win over Marquette with a 6-2, 6-4 singles victory over Ivan Vazquez on the No. 6 singles court.
2022-23: In his first season with the Johnnies he went 7-3 in singles play... Paired with three different partners he totaled a 9-3 record in doubles play... He amassed six with with partner Ryota Kaneda the second most by a Johnnies tandem... Won his first collegiate singles and doubles match against Quinnipiac on Jan. 26.
Personal: Son of Paul and Paula Groves ... Has two older siblings, (Megan, 23, attends Exeter University and Alex, 21, a member of the Northern Arizona University men's tennis team) ... Expected to major in Mathematics… Has played tennis since the age of five, and gave up soccer at the age of 12 ... New Hall School Player of the Year in 2022, ... Reached National Finals in prep school.
