St. Johns Freshman Mary Pat Statler has jersey honored at Womens Basketball Hall of Fame

The St. Johns University freshmans accomplishments include being named Gatorade Player of the Year for West Virginia. Statler, a point guard, led her team in scoring, averaging over 20 points per game. As a junior, she averaged 18.0 points, 5.0 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals per contest. An all-state second team selection at Oak Glen high school, Statler was also named to the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference second team, the East Liverpool Review first team and the all-valley second team. Statler, who is also an outstanding student, was ranked 71st in the nation as a high school point guard by the All-Star Girls Report Recruiting Guide.
The Womens Basketball Hall of Fame, located in downtown Knoxville, Tennessee, is the worlds only hall of fame dedicated solely to the athletic achievements of women.
