Sophomore Paris Horne set a new career-high with 24 points on 9-of-13 shooting from the floor. Horne was also 3-of-5 from beyond the arc. The performance was Horne's first-career 20+ point game.
Horne's 27 points were a game-high and marked the fifth time that he led the team in scoring.
In 13 games since entering the starting lineup, Horne has averaged 13.6 points and 3.2 rebounds, while shooting 46.6 percent (69-of-148) from the floor.
D.J. Kennedy tallied 12 points for his third-straight double-figure game. Kennedy also added four steals and handed out a career-high seven assists.
Kennedy has led the team in assists in five of the last six games.
Freshman Quincy Roberts set a new career-high with five assists. Roberts also added six points and seven rebounds.
Roberts has averaged 8.6 points and 5.2 rebounds in five games as a starter.
St. John's shot 44.8 percent in the first half and 41.8 percent for the game against a UConn defense that has allowed the opposition to shoot just 37.9 percent this year.
