Grant Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

QUEENS, N.Y. - For the sixth time this season, Danaejah Grant has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, it was announced this morning by the league office.
Grant, who was also named the BIG EAST Player of the Week on Nov. 30, averaged 21.0 points and 6.0 rebounds in a weekend that featured a loss to Villanova and a win over Georgetown.
Grant, who has scored 20-plus points in four-straight contests and 10-plus points in 28-straight tilts, started off the week with a game-high 22 points against the Wildcats.
Two days later against Georgetown, Grant recorded a game-high 20 points and seven rebounds to help the Red Storm recorded its ninth conference win of the season.
Grant ranks second in the BIG EAST in scoring with 19.3 points per game this season.
Grant and the Red Storm return to action on Friday evening, traveling to Cincinnati for a 7 p.m. tilt against Xavier.
