QUEENS, N.Y. - Former St. John's standout Jordan Rouse has become the latest in a long line of Johnnies to join the professional ranks, signing a contract with Tornion Pallo-47 of the Finnish Second Division for the upcoming season.
A five-year member of the Red Storm, Rouse excelled in Queens from 2010 to 2014, helping the squad reach three NCAA Tournaments during that stretch and claim the program's ninth BIG EAST Tournament title.
The Cary, N.C., native made at least 15 appearances in each of his final three seasons with the Red Storm, highlighted by a 2013 campaign that saw him deliver heroics on the grandest of stages. The defender scored his first game-winner in golden fashion, finding the back of the net in the 99th minute against Delaware to advance the Red Storm to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
Rouse and TP-47 will kick off their 2017 campaign on Saturday, April 29, taking on Kajaanin Haka.
