St. John’s Women’s Basketball to Host Walk-On Tryouts Meeting Sept. 19

Meeting will start at 2 p.m. in the Solly Walker Academic Center

The St. John's Women's Basketball team will hold walk-on tryouts this fall for those students interested in earning a shot to represent the Red Storm on the hardwood.

Prior to trying out, all potential walk-on athletes must attend the Sports Medicine/Compliance meeting on Thursday, September 19 at 2 p.m. in the in the Solly Walker Academic Study Hall located inside Carnesecca Arena. Each potential walk-on also must ensure the following:

Your class schedule does not conflict with practices. As per NCAA rules, you cannot miss class to try-out or practice with a team.
For medical clearance, you will need:
- Proof of current health insurance card (need to bring your current health insurance ID card)
- Proof of a physical exam within the last six months
- Your completed St. John's University medical forms
- Link to the St. John's 2019-20 medical forms

2019-20 St. John's compliance/medical approval form completed by the St. John's Sports Medicine Staff
For compliance clearance, you will need:
- Provide the Compliance Office Staff with your 2019-20 St. John's compliance/medical approval form completed by the St. John's Sports Medicine Staff
- Be registered as a full-time student (minimum of 12 credit hours) pursuing a bachelor's degree at St. John's University.
- Be registered with the NCAA Eligibility Center:
