St. John’s Athletics Adds Two New Staff Members

Red Storm welcomes Director of Creative Services & Branding Maggie Pruitt and Director of Social Media & Digital Marketing Madisyn Travisano
QUEENS, N.Y. (June 14, 2022) – The St. John's Department of Athletics announced the hiring of Maggie Pruitt as Director of Creative Services and Branding and Madisyn Travisano as the Director of Social Media and Digital Marketing.
As Director of Creative Services and Branding, Pruitt will serve as the department's lead graphic designer and will manage the visual brand identity for the Red Storm. Pruitt's day-to-day responsibilities, include the development of print and digital content, coordinate photography services, and serve as a key liaison for the licensing program.
Pruitt arrives from Quinnipiac University, where she spent four years as an assistant athletic director of communications, serving as the primary contact for seven different sports. In her last two years with the Bobcats, she was the lead graphic designer and revamped the visual identity for all 21 Quinnipiac athletic programs, including the nationally-ranked men's and women's and hockey teams. In 2019, Pruitt was the Media Relations Coordinator for the NCAA Women's Frozen Four, serving as the point of contact for all external media members during the championships.
Prior to Quinnipiac, Pruitt worked at Holy Cross as an assistant director of media relations. During her time in Worcester, Mass., she was responsible for editorial content, statistical analysis and external media requests for nine of the Crusaders varsity teams.
Pruitt received her master's degree from Quinnipiac in 2021 in interactive media and communications. In 2017, she earned a bachelor's degree in journalism and sports communication from Shorter University in Rome, Ga., where she was a women's soccer player.
As Director of Social Media and Digital Marketing, Travisano will help manage the Red Storm's digital platforms, social media accounts and electronic communication with a focus on enhancing fan engagement for St. John's 17 athletic programs.
A recent graduate of Seton Hall, Travisano gained a wealth of experience in her time as an undergraduate student. She worked with the Seton Hall Creative Services team to develop content for social media platforms and orchestrated production shoots for the Pirates' 14 varsity teams.
The Glendora, Calif., native has worked with the BIG EAST Conference, as she served as a graphics coordinator during for BIG EAST Digital Network broadcasts. Travisano was also as a stage manager and ran the conference's social media accounts during the 2022 BIG EAST Tournament at Madison Square Garden. In addition, she completed social media focused internships with Dressember and Seton Hall's Office of Admissions. Travisano earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from Seton Hall.
