St. John’s to Host Mass Honoring First Anniversary of Jack Kaiser’s Passing

Mass at St. Thomas More Church will take place at 12:15 p.m. on Thursday, May 25
QUEENS, N.Y. – St. John's Athletics and the university's Campus Ministry will collaborate to host Mass in commemoration of the late Jack Kaiser and the first anniversary of his passing on Thursday, May 25 at St. Thomas More Church on the Queens campus of St. John's University at 12:15 p.m.
The service will also be streamed online and can be found at www.stjohns.edu/church.
Kaiser, who left a lasting legacy not only at St. John's but on American intercollegiate athletics, passed away at the age of 95 on May 25, 2022. The patriarch of the Red Storm athletic department, Kaiser dedicated parts of nine different decades to his beloved alma mater, starting as a standout three-sport athlete in the 1940s and ending with his tenure as the department's athletic director emeritus from 1995 until his death.
