St. John’s and BIG EAST to Host 2027 NCAA Men’s Basketball East Regional at Madison Square Garden

Road to the Final Four runs through The Garden on March 26 and 28, 2027
QUEENS, N.Y. – St. John's and the BIG EAST Conference will host the 2027 NCAA Men's Basketball East Regional at Madison Square Garden as announced Wednesday by the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Committee. Games are scheduled for March 26 and 28, 2027, at The Garden, the home court of the Red Storm for over 90 years and the site of the BIG EAST Tournament since 1983.
The road to the Final Four will run through "The World's Most Famous Arena" for the fourth time since 2014, as MSG will be the final stop in 2027 for one team headed to Detroit to compete for a national title at Ford Field.
After a 53-year hiatus, the NCAA Tournament returned to Madison Square Garden in 2014 for the East Regional, which were the first NCAA Tournament games at MSG since 1961. St. John's and the BIG EAST also hosted the 2017 and 2023 East Regional. Entering the 2027 postseason, The Garden has hosted 80 NCAA Tournament games in its storied history.
