Third-Seeded St. John’s to Face Second-Seeded No. 25 Providence in 2024 BIG EAST Soccer Championship Semifinals

The Red Storm holds a 3-2-0 record against the Friars in the conference tournament
QUEENS, N.Y. – A battle of 2024 Co-East Division Champions will ensue on Thursday as the third-seed St. John's men's soccer team will face second-seeded Providence in the BIG EAST Soccer Championship Semifinals at Maryland SoccerPlex in Boyds.
Kick-off from Maryland is slated for 5 p.m. and live stats will be available on RedStormSports.com. Thursday's semifinal will be streamed live on BIG EAST Digital Network, powered by FloFC, with Anthony Mazzini and Monika Moore on the call.
The Red Storm (9-5-5, 5-1-2 BIG EAST) will look to build off of its recent success after taking down sixth-seeded Seton Hall, 2-0, at Belson Stadium on Saturday. Defender Julian Jakopovic provided the game-winner at 24:43 while All-BIG EAST Second Team selection Thomas Lamaille iced the game with a second-half strike.
Going unbeaten in its last seven matches with a 5-0-2 mark, St. John's has logged a shutout in three of its last four matchups against conference opponents.
