St. John’s Receives Commitment from Adam Oumiddoch

The Red Storm men’s basketball program signs a consensus four-star recruit ranked No. 35 in the ESPN Top-100
QUEENS, N.Y. – The St. John's men's basketball program received a commitment from consensus four-star recruit Adam Oumiddoch (pronounced: OO-me-doosh) during National Signing Day on Wednesday.
Oummidoch, a 6-foot-6 shooting guard from Arlington, Va. is the No. 35 ranked recruit in the ESPN Top 100 and is currently averaging 31.0 points per game for Cold Hearts on the Overtime Elite circuit. He also checks in as the No. 45 rated prospect on Rivals and No. 53 according to 247Sports for the Class of 2026.
"We are super excited to have Adam join our basketball program," said St. John's Head Coach Rick Pitino. "Adam is everything we want in a young prospect, and he is driven to do anything he can to improve. We believe he can really excel in our style of play."
Just three games into the 2025-26 Overtime Elite campaign, Oumiddoch has turned heads with his scoring prowess. The shooting guard is averaging 31.0 points, shooting 55.1 percent from the field, 42.1 percent from 3-point range, and 90.9 percent from the charity stripe. Additionally, he has recorded 6.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.
In AAU competition, Oummidoch played for Wildcat Select and was an All-Adidas 3SSB Circuit Second Team selection. He averaged 17.4 points, 8.1 rebounds, 2.3 steals, and 1.1 assist per game this past summer.
Over the last three years, Oummidoch has attended multiple training camps for the USA Basketball Junior National Teams, most recently a minicamp this past April in San Antonio.
The Red Storm has risen to new heights in recruiting bringing in the top-rated transfer class this past off-season according to ESPN and 247Sports. Oumiddoch becomes the first signing for St. John's in the 2026 class.
The No. 13/13 Red Storm will return to action on Saturday, Nov. 15 when it hosts William & Mary at 6 p.m. inside Carnesecca Arena.
