St. John’s Unveils Partnership with Starr

Red Storm Athletic Department announces multi-year agreement with leading global investment and insurance company
 QUEENS, N.Y. – The St. John's University Athletic Department announced a new partnership with Starr on Monday, ahead of the 2025-26 men's and women's basketball seasons.
 
St. John's is excited to announce that Starr, a leading global investment and insurance organization, is now an official sponsor of St. John's Athletics. Beginning this season, the Starr logo will be prominently featured on the court for all St. John's men's and women's basketball regular season games, at both Carnesecca Arena and Madison Square Garden. This partnership is part of a multi-year agreement managed by St. John's Sports Properties.
Starr will also be the presenting sponsor of the "Starr Plays of the Game" social media series, highlighting top plays after each St. John's men's and women's basketball home victory.
"We are thrilled to welcome Starr as a new partner of St. John's Athletics," said St. John's Vice President and Director of Athletics, Ed Kull. "Starr has a storied history with St. John's University, and I am proud that our basketball fans will be reminded of that at every home game."
In 2020, the St. John's School of Risk Management, Insurance and Actuarial Science was re-named after Maurice R. Greenberg, former Chairman and Chief executive officer of Starr. Starr also recently partnered with St. John's and Cristo Rey Brooklyn High School to participate in the InsureFutures program providing high school students paid work-study experiences along with priority consideration for admission to the Greenberg School of Risk Management.
