St. John’s Head Coach Rick Pitino to Join ESPN’s College GameDay Saturday Morning

Pitino to join host Rece Davis and the College GameDay crew for a live interview at 10:15 a.m.
QUEENS, N.Y. – St. John's Head Coach Rick Pitino will join ESPN's College GameDay this morning at 10:15 a.m. for a live interview to discuss the Red Storm's victory over No. 3/3 Connecticut on Friday at Madison Square Garden.
Pitino will join the show's hosts Rece Davis, Jay Bilas, Jay Williams, Seth Greenberg and Andraya Carter coming off the Johnnies' ninth-straight victory. Fans can tune in to ESPN or via the WatchESPN app.
The Johnnies earned the program's highest ranked victory in five years and its first top-three ranked win at Madison Square Garden since 2011. St. John's snapped UConn's 18-game winning streak on Friday and moved within a half game of the Huskies for the lead in the BIG EAST standings.
With Friday's victory, Pitino tied Roy Williams (903) for third all-time in on-court victories in NCAA Division I Men's Basketball history. Last season, the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer led the Red Storm to tie a program record with 31 victories and captured the BIG EAST Regular Season and Tournament Championships.
