As a Graduate Student (Fall 2022)
All-BIG EAST Second Team … started in all 17 games for the Red Storm … registered a pair of goals, both on penalty kicks … played in all but 21 minutes last season, logging 1,509 in total … netted his lone shot in the 30th minute against Lehigh (Sept. 2) … recorded the eventual game-winner in the team’s 3-1 upset victory over Georgetown (Sept. 16) … tallied a season-high two shots on goal in the team’s 2-1 win over DePaul.
As a Senior (Fall 2021)
First Team All-BIG EAST… United Soccer Coaches All-East Region Third Team… United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-East Region Second Team… started all 20 matches for a Red Storm team that went 11-6-3, finished third in the BIG EAST and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament… led the team with five goals and six assists for 16 points… tied for second in the BIG EAST in assists, sixth in points and eighth in goals… led the conference and tied for 22nd nationally with four game-winning goals… also played a key role in the Red Storm’s defensive efforts, helping the Johnnies finish fifth nationally in team goals against average (0.63) and first in shutout percentage (0.60)… logged 90 minutes or more in 17 of his 20 appearances… played 72 minutes and took one shot in the season opener against eventual national champion Clemson (Aug. 26)… tallied a goal and two assists against Albany (Aug. 30)… assisted on the game-winner against Fordham (Sept. 6)… scored the game-winner and assisted on another goal against Boston University (Sept. 10)… tallied the lone goal in a 1-0 win at Xavier to open BIG EAST play (Sept. 18)… picked up an assist at UConn (Oct. 2)… took a season-high four shots and dished out an assist at DePaul (Oct. 30)… scored the game-winner against Princeton in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at Belson Stadium (Nov. 18)… played all 90 minutes of the Red Storm’s second round matchup at Oregon State (Nov. 21).
As a Junior (Spring 2021)
Third Team All-BIG EAST… never stepped off the pitch in 10 matches for the Red Storm, playing 907 out of a possible 907 minutes… the only Johnnie to start all 10 spring contests… tallied one assist… a versatile talent that helped the Red Storm log four shutouts and compile a 0.89 goals against average… took six shots on the season, two of which were on goal… assisted on the game-winner in the team’s season-opening win over Saint Joseph’s (Feb. 15).
As a Sophomore (2019)
All-BIG EAST Third Team… team captain for a Red Storm squad that equaled its highest win total since 2008, earned a national seed in the NCAA Tournament and advanced to the Round of 16 for the 12th time in program history… played and started in all 20 games… scored four goals, tied for the third highest total on the team, and dished out one assist… a two-time selection to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll (Sept. 9 & Oct. 21)... played 1,846 out of a possible 1,854 minutes, only exiting the pitch in the final minutes of the Red Storm’s 4-0 win over Villanova on Oct. 12… scored his first collegiate goal, a game-winner, in the Red Storm’s win over Manhattan (Sept. 6)… found the back of the net twice in the second half of the Johnnies’ 5-1 win at Columbia (Sept. 16)… picked up an assist against Villanova (Oct. 12)… scored the opening goal of the Red Storm’s NCAA Second Round victory over Syracuse (Nov. 24).
As a Freshman (2018)
Made 14 appearances, all of which were starts, during his rookie campaign… tallied two assists on the season, both of which were on game winners… played 1,219 minutes in his 14 games, good enough for fifth on the squad in terms of total minutes… placed four of his six shots on target over the course of the season… fired off two shots, both of which were on goal, at Loyola Marymount (Aug. 26)… picked up his first collegiate point on an assist against Fairfield (Aug. 31)… assisted on the lone goal of the Red Storm’s 1-0 win over Seton Hall (Sept. 15)… missed four games due to injury in late September and early October… never came off the field during any of the Red Storm’s last five games of the season, including a win over No. 24 Georgetown in Washington.

A three-year standout at Archbishop Curley High School… captained the Friars as a senior… a Second Team All-State and Second Team All-Metro selection… a First Team MIAA All-Conference honoree… also played two years of varsity basketball and captained the hoops team as a senior… played Baltimore Celtic on the club circuit, winning a state, Region 1 and national championship in 2017… also won three state championships with Fewster FC… helped Fewster finish as a national finalist in 2015…

Brandon Jeffrey Knapp… son of Jeffrey and Laura Knapp… mother, Laura, played lacrosse at UMBC… has two younger siblings, Joshua and Emily… a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society and Franciscan Youth Ministry while at Archbishop Curley… earned first academic honors in grades 9-12… chose St. John’s for its soccer legacy and coaching staff… lists former coach Barry Stitz as the person who influenced his athletic career the most and Jordan Spieth as his favorite athlete.
