PEP RALLY, SCRIMMAGE TO KICKOFF ST. JOHN'S BASKETBALL SEASON

Queens, NY - The 2004-05 edition of the St. John's men's basketball team under first year head coach Norm Roberts takes to the court for the first time on Thursday, November 4th for a spirited Pep Rally and Red-White Scrimmage Game. The tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m. at Alumni Hall with free admission for all students, faculty, alumni and fans.
The St. John's Dance Team, Cheerleaders and Pep Band will perform on this fun-filled night that will feature tee-shirt giveaways, a high-flying dunk competition and a three-point accuracy shootout pitting a student against Coach Roberts on the famed Alumni Hall floor. In addition, students, fans and loyalists will get a chance to see the Red Storm for the first time as they prepare for the 2004-05 campaign.
The Red Storm returns sophomore's Daryll Hill, Tyler Jones and Lamont Hamilton along with senior's Mohamed Diakite and Phil Missere. Six new faces adorn the roster led by junior college transfers Ryan Williams, Rodney Epperson and Jermaine Maybank. Eugene Lawrence, Cedric Jackson and Dexter Gray anchor the freshman class.
So come out and join us for a night of St. John's basketball as Coach Roberts runs his Red Storm through a lively scrimmage followed by introductions of the players and basketball skills competitions to excite the St. John's faithful.
Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and seating will be first-come, first serve. We hope you'll join us for this rare opportunity to preview to the 2004-05 St. John's men's basketball team.
