DARYLL: Hello, it's Friday and welcome back to "Shooting 3's With Daryll Hill," coming to you live from the Taffner Field House weight room.
Yesterday was media day for the basketball team, and it was good to see a lot of reporters come out. I think the players did well with the media, and I liked a lot of quotes I read in the papers today from Mase and other players. We're all able to be ourselves, and I like that the fans get to see that in the papers.
It had to be the biggest media turnout since I've been here, and when they come out like that I think it shows they care about us. I think they see that our team is getting better and better, and they want to come out and see us and talk about that.
Last night's Red Storm Tip-Off was cool, and I liked the opportunity we had to play in front of our fans. I loved the intros we got before the scrimmage, a lot of people were loud and excited for us. I thought we had a good crowd there with families and people like that, but I would like to see some more students come out. We need the students' support because I think we're about to be a winning program again. Basketball games are exciting and something to do on campus. We want people to support us and talk about our team - it means a lot to us and helps us to play even harder.
Things have been really busy lately because we're almost getting to game time. Today we'll have a hard day of practice, then we'll do some scrimmage work this weekend and go on from there. School has been good, it feels like I've been doing a lot of studying and practicing and that's it. No time for too much else but sleep.
I know a lot of people have sent e-mail questions, but I have to get ready for practice right now. I'll try to get to all of the e-mails next week.
As always, thanks for checking out "Shooting 3's With Daryll Hill."
