On Tuesday???s opponent, LIU:
???LIU has a very good backcourt. They are quick and have two guys that play point guard. James Williams can really shoot the basketball and Aubin Scott is a terrific athlete.???
On Saturday???s loss against Illinois State:
???After looking at the tape, we did play decent defense again Illinois State. Our first shot defense was good. It was our lack of getting the loose balls and turning over the ball on the offensive end that got us in trouble. We haven???t had a game where we have turned the ball over that much in a very long time.???
On his team???s defense:
???The one thing we talk to our guys about a lot is that we are just not doing the little things. The little things are the key to the game. If you look at our stats, we have probably improved in all of those pretty areas but our statistics like turnovers, rebounds and offensive rebounds are not where they need to be. We???ve got to get back to doing those little things. When you combine that with shooting the ball better, then you are going to play better overall.???
On possible lineup changes:
???Tomas Jasiulionis may start for Aaron Spears. I thought he gave us some good minutes last game. We???ll see how everything goes at practice today.???
On the play of senior forward Aaron Spears:
???I think Aaron really wants to do well and he has been pressing a little bit. This may be a chance for him to see that. He may come off the bench a little more relaxed. The lineup change will not affect the amount of minutes our guys play. Regardless of who starts, the guys will still get the same playing time.???
