QUEENS, N.Y. -
Head Coach Norm Roberts
On Malik Boothe:
"Malik brings a ton of energy on both offense and defense. Malik is a guy who creates for others. He makes the other players on the court better. You're not always going to see that in his stats."
On Cincinnati:
"I don't know if they're a lot different (than last time we played them). They're a confident team and they're a more experience team than when we last saw them. We have to take care of the basketball. We have to rebound the ball. Cincinnati is doing a great job on the boards. We didn't execute or defend as well as we are capable of doing and we have to do all these things."
Freshman forward Justin Burrell
On the three-game winning streak:
"Three wins feels good for us right now. It's a lot better than three losses. I'd say the key to these three wins has been our confidence and the fact that we're moving the ball so much better. We're making the extra pass and guys are finishing layups and shots. I think it's something the guys are really starting to understand, they're understanding what they can and cannot do in their areas."
On Malik Boothe:
"Malik sees the court well. He knows what is going to happen. He's not afraid to make those certain passes. He rebounds well and he's a tenacious defender."
On the previous meeting with Cincinnati:
"We didn't play that well against them the first time we played them. We were just able to make shots that game. We didn't execute as well that game as we have been lately. It'll be a better game overall."
On Eugene Lawrence:
"It's great for our team if Geno scores. Now they have to play him when he makes his drives and they can't just sink down in the post because he's making outside shots. "
