QUEENS, N.Y. -
- Anthony Mason Jr. finished with 24 points - 21 coming in the second half - while hitting 5-of-7 from beyond the arc. His total stands as the most points since he drained 29 with 7-for-11 shooting from 3-point range at Louisville on Jan. 26. The junior has four 20-plus scoring efforts this season.
- D.J. Kennedy hit multiple 3-pointers for the first time since Dec. 8 against Ohio at the 44th Outrigger Hotels Rainbow Classic in Hawaii. The freshman finished with 10 points, three rebounds and five assists and has averaged 10.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 4.3 assists in the last three games.
- Justin Burrell scored 12 points for his 16th double-digit scoring game of the season.
- Paris Horne was 1-for-2 from 3-point range today, and is 7-for-9 from beyond the arc in the last six games. The freshman finished with five points.
- Larry Wright finished with 12 points and has scored 9.0 points per game in the last eight games.
- The Pirates used an 18-5 run over 5:51 of the first half to fuel an eight point lead which they brought into the locker room.
- In his last home game at Carnesecca Arena, senior Eugene Lawrence dished out a game-high six assists while making three steals and blocking one shot.
