Topics covered by Monasch on Mike'd Up included the current overall state of the St. John's men's basketball program, confidence in the program's direction under Roberts, the Red Storm's talented nucleus of sophomore players, expectations for the hardwood program's next several years, the program's recruiting efforts and the five remaining regular-season games on St. John's basketball schedule - including Sunday's anticipated sellout crowd when the Red Storm takes on Seton Hall (5 p.m., SNY) and expected large audiences for upcoming matchups vs. Syracuse (Feb. 24) and Georgetown (March 3).
Francesa's long-established radio career brings a hard-hitting brand of sports talk to WFAN on Mike'd Up, which airs on weekday afternoons from 1:00 to 6:30 p.m.
Following up on the WFAN interview, Monasch confirmed with the University's senior administration his evaluation and conviction that, under Roberts, the program is heading in the right direction as well as the institution's firm commitment to the coach and the players.
