- St. John's had 38 points in the opening half, its highest point total for a half this season in BIG EAST play.
- Dwight Hardy tied a career-high with 19 points and was 5-of-9 from long range. The junior made his first three 3-pointers and had 13 first half points.
- In five MSG games this year, Hardy is averaging 17.2 points per game and is shooting 56.3 percent (18-for-32) from long range. Hardy has tallied 19 points in each of his past three MSG appearances.
- D.J. Kennedy finished with 10 points to reach double-figures for the 17th time this season.
- After zero first half rebounds, Sean Evans grabbed nine boards in the second half. Evans is averaging 6.6 rebounds in the past seven games and has had at least six rebounds in 13 games this year.
- Anthony Mason Jr. made his first start of the season and finished with a season-high 10 points. The redshirt senior added one rebound, one assist, one block and three steals.
- Freshman Omari Lawrence finished with a career-high eight points on 4-of-6 shooting from the floor.
- Freshman Malik Stith had a career-high four assists and zero turnovers. In the past four contests, Stith has nine assists and no turnovers.
- Justin Burrell finished with five points and six rebounds in 15 minutes off the bench. In the past three games, the junior is averaging 6.0 points and 3.7 rebounds.
