- St. John's lost for just the second time this season when attempting more free throws than the opposition and is now 9-2 in such games.
- Though allowing just 59 points to Seton Hall, the Red Storm was held to a season-low 50 points on the night. Entering the contest, St. John's was 3-0 in BIG EAST play when holding the opponent to 60 points or less.
- A crowd of 5,519 was in attendance at Carnesecca Arena, which has a capacity of 5,602.
- D.J. Kennedy pulled down seven rebounds, but was held to a season-low two points on 1-for-10 shooting. Kennedy is averaging 7.3 rebounds in the past six games.
- With a six-point effort, Anthony Mason Jr. now has 993 career points. The redshirt senior also grabbed a team-best nine boards and is averaging 6.2 rebounds in the past six contests.
- After scoring a combined six points in the past three games, Sean Evans erupted for a 14-point night. Evans was 7-for-8 from the floor, while adding five rebounds (three offensive).
- Paris Horne reached double-figures for the eighth time this season, finishing with 12 points. Horne also tied his season-high with a team-best three assists.
- Entering the night with five-straight double-figure games, Justin Burrell was held to four points on 2-of-6 shooting. In the past six games, the junior is shooting 26-of-50 (52.0 percent) from the floor. Burrell is also averaging 4.5 rebonds in the past four contests.
