Team Notes
- St. John's had just two players in double-figures, putting fewer than three players in double-figures for the first time this year.
- The Red Storm shot 77.8 percent (14-of-18) from the free throw line, its second-highest percentage of the season and third time shooting at least 70.0 percent.
- The Red Storm was outshot from the floor by its opponent (42.6 percent to 41.4 percent) for just the second time this season.
- St. John's blocked a season-high nine shots, its most since swatting 11 shots in a 72-60 win against Hofstra on Dec. 20, 2009.
- St. John's, which entered the game averaging 9.5 thefts per game, finished with a season-low four steals.
Individual Notes
- God'sgift Achiuwa finished with 17 points for his fourth-career double-figure effort and first in the past four games. Achiuwa also added a team-best nine rebounds, including six offensive, and is averaging 8.0 rebounds in the past two games.
- Nurideen Lindsey, who was a perfect 4-of-4 from the charity stripe, totaled 16 points to tally his sixth double-figure game this season. Lindsey also grabbed six rebounds and is averaging 6.6 boards in the past five games.
- Moe Harkless grabbed eight rebounds, finishing with at least seven boards for the fourth time this season. The freshman scored eight points, finishing below double-figures for the first time in his career.
- Sir'Dominic Pointer made his second-career start and finished with eight points and two rebounds. Pointer is averaging 6.0 points and 4.5 rebounds as a starter this season and has averaged 8.3 points and 3.7 boards in the past three contests.
- D'Angelo Harrison was held without a trey for the first time this season after finishing 0-of-6 from beyond the arc. Harrison is averaging 1.9 3-pointers made per game on the year.
- Malik Stith had a season-high three assists and finished with no turnovers for the fourth-straight game. The point guard has totaled seven assists and no turnovers in the past four games.
