Team Notes

St. John's played in overtime for the first time since Nov. 25, 2010, a 78-73 victory against Ball State at the Great Alaska Shootout.
The Red Storm's 48.3 percent (29-of-60) clip from the field was the highest since a 56.5 effort against Providence (Dec. 27).
St. John's shot just 56.0 percent (14-of-25) from the charity stripe, its lowest effort from the stripe since a 50.0 percent performance against Texas-Pan American (Dec. 21). The Red Storm entered the game shooting 74.7 percent from the line in BIG EAST action.
St. John's scored 43 points in the second half, its 11th 40-point half of the season. Nine of the 40-point stanzas have come in the second half of action.
The Red Storm finished with a season-high 21 turnovers.

Individual Notes

D'Angelo Harrison scored a career-high 28 points to notch his fifth-career 20-point game. Three of the freshman's five 20-point performances have come in BIG EAST play. Harrison tied a career-high with four 3-pointers, finishing the game 4-of-7 from long range.
Moe Harkless reached double-figures for the eighth-straight game with a 15-point effort. The freshman is averaging 17.5 points and 8.7 rebounds
Phil Greene scored in double-figures for the second-straight game with a career-high 14-point effort. The point guard also set a new career-high with five assists.
After coming off the bench in his first eight games, Amir Garrett made his first-career start and tied a career-high with eight points. Garrett also set a new career-best with seven rebounds.
Sir'Dominic Pointer grabbed a career-high nine rebounds and is averaging 6.3 boards in the past seven games.
