- St. John's finished with 12 total blocks as a team, just shy of tying the school-record of 13 set on Jan. 27, 1982 in a 67-54 win against Army.
- St. John's improved to 3-0 in home-openers at Carnesecca Arena in the Steve Lavin Era.
- With the win, St. John's is now 14-7 in the Lavin Era in games decided by five points or less.
- Paced by a 57.1 percent (16-of-28) clip in the second half, St. John's shot 45.9 percent (28-of-61) from the floor in the game.

Individual Notes
- Phil Greene IV set a new career-high with 20 points to mark the 13th double-figure scoring effort of his career. Greene surpassed his previous high of 18, which he set against Pitt on Feb. 29, 2012.
- Freshman Chris Obekpa blocked eight shots in his collegiate-debut to break the school-record for blocks in a game. The previous record of seven was set by Robert Werdann against Hofstra on Dec. 9, 1989. Obekpa also finished with 11 rebounds, tying him for a game-high, and seven points.
- Amir Garrett finished with 15 points and matched a game-high with 11 boards to record his first-career double-double. The 11 rebounds bested his previous career-high of nine, a number he posted twice as a rookie.
- D'Angelo Harrison scored a game-high 22 points to register the 13th 20-point performance of his career. Harrison finished with a pair of 3s, marking the 24th multi-trey effort of his career.
- Christian Jones finished with eight points and three assists in his collegiate-debut.
- Also making his collegiate-debut, JaKarr Sampson had two points and six rebounds in 18 minutes of action.
