Moe Harkless finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds to notch his third-straight double-double and the 11th of his career, ranking him tied for fifth among all active BIG EAST players in the category. The freshman, who has recorded six double-doubles in BIG EAST action, is averaging 13.0 points and 11.0 rebounds in the past three contests.
Amir Garrett had career-highs in points (18) and rebounds (9), while playing a career-high 37 minutes. The freshman has reached double-figures in each of the past two games and in three of the past four. Garrett is averaging 9.3 points per game in 10 games as a starter and 12.0 points in the past three games.
D'Angelo Harrison recorded his 11th-career 20-point game with a 23-point output and now has 479 points on the year, just 21 from tying the St. John's freshman record of 500 set by Erick Barkley in 1998-99. The freshman has reached the 20-point mark in two-straight contests and in seven of the past 10 games. Harrison also had six assists with zero turnovers, his most helpers since dishing a career-high seven, also with no turnovers, against Providence (Dec. 27).
Phil Greene reached double-figures for the third-straight game with a 10-point effort. The point guard has now posted 11 double-figure performances, including eight in the past 11 games. Greene also had three assists and is averaging 3.9 helpers in the last seven contests.
Sir'Dominic Pointer had six rebounds, all in the second half, and is averaging 5.6 boards in the past five games. Pointer also scored nine points and is averaging 11.3 points in the past three games.
