Team Notes

St. John's totaled a season-high 14 blocks, one shy of the school-record of 15. The Red Storm has blocked 15 shots in a game three times, most recently against Longwood on Nov. 26, 2013.
The Red Storm shot a season-best 48.1 percent (26-of-54) from the floor, finishing 13-of-27 in both the first and second halves.
St. John's held LIU Brooklyn to just 29.6 percent (21-of-71) shooting from the floor, the second time this season that the Red Storm has held an opponent below 30.0 percent. St. John's previously held NJIT to 28.3 percent (17-of-60) from the floor in the season-opener.
The Red Storm shot 70.6 percent (12-of-17) from the line, surpassing the 70.0 percent mark for the third time in three games this season. St. John's is shooting 73.0 percent (65-of-89) from the free throw line this season.

Individual Notes

Sir'Dominic Pointer scored a career-high 18 points on 8-of-10 shooting. Pointer also added a career-high six blocks.
Chris Obekpa pulled down 10 rebounds, his second double-figure rebounding game of the season and ninth of his career. The junior also swatted eight shots, his most blocks since a nine-block effort against Monmouth on Nov. 22, 2013.
D'Angelo Harrison scored 14 points and now has 1,656 points in his career. The senior has reached double-figures in 81-of-95 games played.
Rysheed Jordan reached double-figures for the third time in as many games this season with a 15-point effort.
Myles Stewart scored his first-career points with a 3-pointer at the 3:34 mark of the first half.
