Team Notes
- The Red Storm tallied 16 steals vs. Minnesota, the most since at least the 2005-06 season. St. John's had 15 steals twice in that span: Dec. 1, 2010 vs. Wagner and Feb. 2, 2005 vs. Providence.
- All five St. John's starters finished with at least eight points and five rebounds for the second time this season (Franklin Pierce; Nov. 17, 2014).
- St. John's forced a season-high 20 turnovers and scored a season-high 24 points off turnovers. The 20 turnovers forced marked the most by St. John's since Dec. 18, 2013 against San Francisco (21).
- All five St. John's starters played at least 32 minutes, marking the first time in 2014-15 that St. John's has had its five starters play at least 30 minutes in a game.
- The Red Storm's 51 rebounds set a new season-high and were its most since a 51-rebound performance vs. Butler (Feb. 18, 2014). St. John's had three players with at least nine rebounds for the first time this season.
- St. John's won despite a season-low 59.5 percent effort from the free throw line (22-of-37). The last time St. John's overcame a free throw percentage that low en route to a victory was on March 8, 2014 at Marquette (16-of-30, 53.3 percent).
- St. John's held Minnesota to a season-low 39.5 percent from the floor. The Golden Gophers entered the game shooting 45.8 percent from the field this season.
- Tonight marks the second time this season that the Red Storm overcame a halftime deficit. St. John's also trailed on Nov. 17, 2014 against Franklin Pierce.
Individual Notes
- D'Angelo Harrison set a new career-high with six steals, surpassing his previous career-high of five steals vs. Fordham (Dec. 8, 2012).
- Harrison also had a game-high 19 points and has reached double-figures in all four games this season. Harrison has finished in double-figures in 83-of-96 career games played (86.5 percent).
- Rysheed Jordan finished with 18 points and has at least 15 points in all four games this season. Jordan has reached double-figures in eight-straight games, including six-straight games with at least 15 points, dating back to a 13-point performance against Villanova (Feb. 22, 2014).
- Sir'Dominic Pointer pulled down 11 rebounds, his most rebounds in a game since March 5, 2013 at Notre Dame. Pointer now has seven double-figure rebounding performances in his career.
- Chris Obekpa finished with 10 points to reach double-figures for the second time this season and sixth time in his career.
