NEW YORK - Team Notes
- St. John's is now 25-28 in 31 all-time BIG EAST Championship appearances.
- St. John's shot 41.2 percent (28-of-68) from the floor, marking just the fourth time in the past 17 games that the squad has shot below 42.0 percent. The Red Storm went 1-3 in those four games.
- The 41.2 percent shooting mark for St. John's was narrowly eclipsed by Providence, which shot 41.3 percent. The Red Storm is just 1-8 this season when shooting a lower percentage than the opposition.
- St. John's shot 50.0 percent (13-of-26) from the free throw line, matching a season-low. The Red Storm also shot 50.0 percent against Georgetown (10-of-20) on Jan. 4 and against Monmouth (8-of-16) on Nov. 22.
- The Red Storm committed just eight turnovers, the 13th time this season with less than 10 turnovers. St. John's had a season-low five turnovers in the last meeting against the Friars on Feb. 4.
- St. John's had eight steals and has averaged 10.0 thefts in the past two games.

Individual Notes
- D'Angelo Harrison finished with 21 points and 10 rebounds to record the third double-double of his career, including his second in the past three games. Two of Harrison's three-career double-doubles have come in BIG EAST Championship play as the guard registered a 12-point, 10-rebound performance against Pittsburgh on March 6, 2012 to record his first-career double-double.
- Harrison scored 15 points in the second half, including 13 in the final 3:11 of regulation.
- Rysheed Jordan made three 3-pointers, matching a career-high, and finished with 17 points to record double-figures for the 14th time this season.
- JaKarr Sampson reached double-figures for the 25th time this season with a 15-point game. Sampson also grabbed nine rebounds, the sixth time this season that he has finished with at least nine boards.
- Orlando Sanchez grabbed a career-high 12 rebounds to record his third-career double-digit rebounding game. Sanchez bested his previous career-mark of 11 boards set against Butler on Feb. 18.
- Jamal Branch added nine points, his highest-scoring game since a 10-point performance on Feb. 18 against Butler.
