Team Notes

St. John's improved to 15-4 at home, marking the program's highest number of home victories since 1999-00 (16). The Red Storm also improved to 9-2 in their last 11 BIG EAST regular season games at Madison Square Garden.
The Red Storm improved to 14-0 when holding their opponent under 70 points.
St. John's held Xavier to a season-low 35.8 percent (19-of-53) from the field. Xavier entered tonight's game shooting 48.1 percent on the season.
The Red Storm dished out 14 assists, breaking the double-digit assist mark for the fifth straight game and 11th game out of their last 12.
St. John's 10 blocks is the most since a 13-block effort vs. Marquette on Jan. 11, 2015 and is the Red Storm's fifth game this season with 10 or more rejections.

Individual Notes

D'Angelo Harrison scored 20 points for the 13th time this season and 52nd game of his career. Harrison has now reached double-figure scoring in 104-of-120 (86.7 percent) career games.
With a tip-in at the 6:34 mark of the 1st half, Sir'Dominic Pointer became the 50th player in program history to join the 1,000-point club. Pointer finished with 19 points, his 13th consecutive game scoring in double-figures and his 19th such game this season. The Detroit native added nine rebounds and six blocks, and over his last five games is averaging 19.2 points, 8.6 rebounds, 3.4 blocks and 60.3 percent (38-of-63) from the field.
With 10 points tonight, Rysheed Jordan has now scored in double-figures 19 times this season. Jordan added six assists, tying a season-high mark (twice previously).
