- St. John's shot 44.2 percent, but lost for just the second time this season when outshooting its opposition. The Red Storm has shot better than its opposition in each of the past three games.
- The Red Storm finished +5 (41-36) on the glass, its second-straight game winning the rebounding margin.
- St. John's totaled 10 blocks, the most for the squad in BIG EAST action this season. The 10-block effort marked the fourth game this season with at least 10 swats.
- St. John's matched a season-high with 21 turnovers in the contest.
Individual Notes
- Kassoum Yakwe scored a career-high 16 points and pulled down a career-high 15 rebounds to register his second-straight double-double. Yakwe added four blocks for the second-straight game.
- Ron Mvouika made a pair of 3-pointers to record his 13th multi-trey game this season. Mvouika has six multi-trey efforts in the past eight games. Mvouika also grabbed eight rebounds, his most since a 10-board effort on Jan. 31 against Villanova.
- Durand Johnson finished with two 3-pointers for the third-straight game. Johnson has totaled 14 mutli-trey games this season.
- Federico Mussini was held to just three points, but did make at least one 3-pointer for the 24th time in 28 games.
