- St. John's shot 48.4 percent (31-of-64) from the floor, its highest shooting performance since a 49.2 percent effort against Syracuse on Dec. 13.
- The Red Storm scored 50 points in the second half, tied for the second-most in either half this season. St. John's scored 59 points in the first half against Chaminade (Nov. 25) and also totaled 50 points in the second half against Marquette (Jan. 24).
Individual Notes
- Christian Jones finished with 14 points and a career-high 12 rebounds to register his third-career double-double, all this season. Jones had 17 points and 11 boards against Chaminade (Nov. 25) for his first-career double-double and had 10 points and 11 rebounds against NJIT (Dec. 20).
- Durand Johnson scored a team-high 15 points, his team-leading 21st game in double-figures this season. Johnson has led the Red Storm in scoring eight times. Johnson also made three 3-pointers, his seventh game this season with at least 3 treys.
- Felix Balamou started for the first time since Feb. 13 against Villanova and finished with eight points and six rebounds.
- Yankuba Sima reached double-figures for the second-straight game and eighth time this season with a 10-point effort. Sima averaged 12.0 points in two games against Providence this season.
- Ron Mvouika made 2-of-3 3-pointers to register his 15th multi-trey game of the season, including 11 in BIG EAST action.
