St. John’s Men’s Basketball To Hold Walk-On Tryouts

QUEENS, N.Y. – The St. John's men's basketball team will hold walk-on tryouts this fall for those students interested in earning a shot to represent the Red Storm on the hardwood.

Prior to trying out, all potential walk-on athletes must attend the Men's Basketball Tryout meeting on Wednesday, October 2 at 3 p.m. in the Athletics Hall of Fame Room in Carnesecca Arena. The following information will be reviewed with each potential walk-on:

Your class schedule does not conflict with practices.
- As per NCAA rules, you cannot miss class to try-out or practice with a team.

For Medical Clearance, you will need to:

Provide proof of health insurance. Please bring your current health insurance ID card.
Provide proof of a physical exam within the last six months.
Complete St. John's University medical forms.

Receive 2019-20 Compliance/Medical Approval Form completed by the St. John's Sports Medicine staff.

For Compliance Clearance, you will need to:

Provide the Compliance Office staff with your 2019-20 Compliance/Medical Approval Form completed by the Sports Medicine staff.
Be registered as a full-time student (minimum of 12 credit hours) pursuing a bachelor's degree at St. John's University.
Have NCAA Division I eligibility remaining within your "Five Year Clock."
Be registered with the NCAA Eligibility Center:
