Red Storm Adds NIL Data Services to Support Student-Athlete Brand Building
QUEENS, N.Y. – The St. John's Athletic Department and INFLCR have expanded their partnership, empowering Red Storm men's and women's basketball student-athletes with innovative technologies and educational programming to enhance their personal brands on social media.
As part of the agreement, St. John's will have access to INFLCR's new NIL Data Services suite, which will help prepare Red Storm student-athletes for a new era on the horizon as it relates to Name, Image, & Likeness opportunities.
"First of all, it's all about the student-athletes and how can we help enhance their brands in the greatest city in the world," said St. John's Men's Basketball Coach Mike Anderson. "We are very excited for the new educational opportunities and access to advanced technologies our players will have through this partnership."
Red Storm student-athletes, coaches, staff and other brand ambassadors will continue to utilize a comprehensive national photo and video archive, as well as graphics produced by the St. John's Athletics creative services staff. All content is delivered through INFLCR's custom software and mobile application that integrates directly with a variety of social media platforms.
"In this day and age with the growth of social media, being a student-athlete goes beyond the court," said St. John's Women's Basketball Head Coach Joe Tartamella. "It is important that we are providing our players with the resources they need in order to build their brand. Being in New York, we are the media capital of the world and by teaming up with INFLCR, we are taking that next step to better our program and really hone in on our players and their stories."
St. John's was one of the first BIG EAST members to partner with INFLCR and is among a select number of Division I basketball programs to roll out NIL Data Services to its student-athletes. The new Data Services offering is the first of several products available through INFLCR's NIL Suite. Data Services provides custom reporting with digital education and content consulting for student-athletes, coaches, and team social media accounts.
"The administration at St. John's has seen the impact that empowering their student-athletes with storytelling content can have for both the athletes and for the university," INFLCR founder and CEO Jim Cavale said. "We are excited to continue this partnership and take it to the next level with our NIL Data Services suite.
"In a conference like the BIG EAST, in a market like New York, and in a program as tradition-rich as St. John's, Red Storm athletes have a great opportunity to build their personal brands that can sever them in college and beyond."
Overall, INFLCR serves more than 100 NCAA athletic programs, representing more than 700 teams and more than 30,000 student-athletes.
